Oliver and and Emily learn the meaning of timing when they meet briefly in New York City, but don’t get the chance to exchange names or numbers. They get a second shot, when they meet again by chance, but Emily is not interested in Oliver. Over the next six years, the two float in and out of each other’s lives, and although the two obviously have chemistry, other people and interests keep the two from becoming a couple.
