Madeleine and George, a city dwelling couple, travel south to meet with an artist in rural North Carolina. George was born and raised in North Carolina and plans on introducing Madeleine to his family while they’re on their trip. Worldly Madeleine is received with caution by her new mother-in-law who doesn’t take well to her. On the other hand, her sister-in-law Ashley is completely overwhelmed and amazed by Madeleine’s trendy city glamor.
