A History of Violence was, well, violent. I guess this was to be expected, but it was a bit too graphic for me. The story begins with Tom Stall living his cozy, small-town life with his wife and two kids. Tom is well known in the town and works at the diner he owns. Life seems perfect until two small time criminals decide to rob Stall’s Diner. Tom becomes the hero when he kills the two robbers, saving several innocent lives. But when the story makes the news, Tom’s past comes back to haunt him. Tom may not be who he says he is, and his wife and family are left wondering who exactly he is and where he came from.
