Even though this book is about the dark subject of suicide, I still found it enjoyable and surprisingly light-hearted at times. The book begins on New Year’s Eve by introducing four main characters about to jump to their deaths. Fate has a different plan for them, though, as they begin talking and decide instead to look for Jess’s ex-boyfriend. The book explores each of the main characters’ problems, and even though the four are extremely different and would not be friends under other circumstances, they are connected by that one night when they gave life another shot.
