This movie tells the story of writer Truman Capote during the four years when he wrote his most famous book, In Cold Blood, about the murder of a Kansas family. The movie starts with the murder, and then focuses on Capote and the relationship he develops with one of the murderers. I felt the movie was slow at points, and Capote’s voice — high pitched and lispy — got to me after a while. It might help to know more about Capote, and to have read his books to enjoy this movie more.
