Fancy skating routines and some sweet 70’s music were all this movie had going for it. Instead of focusing on one boy’s desire to be a great skater, the plot was all over the place and tried to tie in too many other stories. Xavier (X) and his friends spend their days roller skating at the local rink, until it’s closed, permanently. They’re forced to go uptown to Sweetwater, where they’re not the best skaters, anymore. They face competition from other groups, and the girls aren’t as easy to charm.
