I realized after watching this movie that I like to be blissfully ignorant of some of the world’s problems (thus, the mediocre rating). This movie, supposedly inspired by real events, is about gun trafficking and the effect it has on our world. The film begins in the early 80’s with the main character, Yuri Orlov, entering the gun business. He starts small, but eventually becomes one of the most notorious gun traffickers in the world, providing guns to everyone from Russians at arms bazaars to children in Liberia. Eventually, Yuri’s world begins to come crashing down as Interpol catches on to his business, and his wife and son leave him.
