I don’t know what it was about this movie, but Rachel Weisz, who I normally enjoy, was annoying and irritating to watch. Maybe it was the filmography, or just her character, but I kept cringing during her scenes. She plays Tessa Quayle, the young wife of a British diplomat, who’s stationed in Africa. She stumbles upon a possible conspiracy between pharmaceutical companies and members of the British High Commission, who won’t stop at anything to keep their secrets from being exposed. Tessa pays with her life, and her husband, who knows nothing of her research is left to pick up the pieces.
