Match Point

Woody Allen’s movie about the English upper class and what one person will do to maintain that status, made for an interesting plot. Tennis pro Chris Wilton meets his student, wealthy Tom Hewitt, and they find they have more in common than just tennis. It’s not long before Tom invites Chris to join his family at the opera, where he is introduced to Tom’s sister, Chloe. Chris and Chloe begin a romance, and Chris is introduced to the elite life that money can bring. At the same time, he begins to fall for Tom’s fiancee Nola, an American actress. Chris tries to maintain both relationships, but when Nola threatens to tell others of their affair, Chris realizes that his life and status could be ruined and must decide between the two women.
