Jodi Picoult
This is my second Jodi Picoult book, and I enjoyed this one almost as much as My Sister’s Keeper. This novel was also focused on family and begins with a teenager being raped at a high school party. The details are blurry at best and no one knows who to believe. While Trixie, the “victim”, claims she was raped, she doesn’t remember parts of the night and the police find she has lied when answering their questions. In addition to the rape, Trixie’s parents, Daniel and Laura are having marital problems, complicating life even more for the family.
