Vertigo

I went out on a limb renting this movie as it falls under the “thriller” genre, and I typically avoid anything that might be even remotely scary. It turned out to not to be scary at all, although I can see why it’s considered a thriller. In this move, a retired San Francisco detective, Scottie Ferguson, is hired to follow an old college friend’s wife, who is apprarently possessed by a dead ancestor. Shortly after Scottie begins tailing the woman, she tries to kill herself. Scottie rescues her and the two begin to fall in love. Unknowingly, Scottie becomes part of a twisted plot that involves murder, suicide, and deceit.
