I had many preconceptions before watching this movie, and my low rating reflects that. First, I read “The Other Boleyn Girl” and “The Queen’s Fool“, both of which are about Anne Boleyn and her daughter, Elizabeth, respectively. Having read those books before seeing this film, and knowing who’s been cast in the upcoming film based on “The Other Boleyn Girl” I think I had unfair expectations of this movie. I didn’t like the woman who played Anne, and her courtship with Henry wasn’t portrayed in the way it was in the Philippa Gregory books. Again, because I read Gregory’s book first, I think my review is a bit slanted and harsh.
