Alan Brennert
This was an enjoyable fictional novel, based on the real-life leper colony in Moloka’i. At times, I thought the book dragged on a bit, especially because there were so many natural places to end the novel. But, when the ending finally came, I was happy with it. Brennert ties up all loose ends and doesn’t leave you wondering about any of the characters or story lines.
