The perfect summer beach read, “The Last Summer” takes place on Fire Island and is the story of two sisters, Riley and Alice, and their best friend, Paul. The story begins when the three of them are in their early twenties, but flashes back fairly often to the many years they spent together growing up. Even though Riley and Paul have always been best friends, their friendship has never crossed over the line to romance. When Paul returns to the island after three years away, he starts to see Alice in a different light.
