Carlos Ruiz Zafon
An excellent mystery that reminded me of The Thirteenth Tale in that it involved people who love books. In this story, a young Daniel Sempere finds the novel “The Shadow of the Wind”, by Julian Carax, in an old book store. He learns that the book is extremely rare and falls […]

Great movie about seven college friends who are reunited because of the suicide of a close friend. Lots of good dialog and an excellent soundtrack.

So-so romantic comedy. Some funny parts, but not one of Zach Braff’s better movies.

Interesting documentary (very similar to The Corporation) about corporate monoliths and what they do to society. It starts off with Mom and Pop shops losing business because of Wal-Mart, then moves on to Wal-Mart’s poor treatment of its workers, and closes with it’s lack of purchasing products made in the USA.

I don’t really know how I feel about this movie. Overall, it was disturbing, and the ending was bizarre. I normally can’t watch any type of serial-killer movie, but this one wasn’t scary. There wasn’t much blood and gore, and the imagery of trying to convey different scents was done fairly […]
