Nancy Horan
An excellent account of the love affair of the late architect Frank Lloyd Wright and Mamah Borthwick. Both Frank and Mamah were married with children when they met: Frank was hired to design a house for Mamah and her [then] husband Edwin Cheney. It was during their work together designing the Cheney home that Wright and Mamah began their long love affair that ended Mamah’s marriage to Cheney. Horan does a very good job of both portraying the love between Wright and Mamah, and also the internal conflict Mamah suffers over leaving her children for her own personal interests.
