This was a fantastic modern-day musical/love story about two people whose lives intersect for only a short time. An unnamed man and unnamed woman meet on the street where the man is playing his guitar and singing for money. They quickly share that they are both interested in music. During the days that follow, the man and woman tell their past and current feelings about love and relationships through their music. This movie didn’t have the excitement that came with Across the Universe. Instead, Once was much more mellow and “documentary-ish”. A great movie with an excellent soundtrack.
