Haruki Murakami
Part mystery and part fantasy, this Japanese novel was a good read. The narrator, who never gives his name, is thrown into a strange quest of finding a mystical sheep. He has one month to find this unique sheep and what follows is a detective story that is both engrossing and weirdly believable at the same time.
