Netflix has a bunch of Alfred Hitchcock movies available in their Watch Instantly selection of movies, which is great, because I’ve been in a mystery/thriller movie mood lately. Strangers on a Train did not disappoint; the film was creepy and unsettling. Tennis star Guy Haines is on a train travelling to his home town when he randomly meets a mentally unstable nutter, Bruno Anthony. After the two share a drink and some food, Bruno suggests a double murder: Bruno will kill Guy’s wife, who refuses to give him a divorce, and Guy can return the favor by killing Bruno’s father. While Guy quickly realizes that Bruno is metal, Bruno takes it upon himself to follow through with the murder plans he propsed to Guy.
