The photos are back!  And the rest of the site is updated to the latest version of WordPress, along with a brand new theme.  Since this site has mostly turned into a place where we post photos, I found a theme that has a photo-centric focus.  It still allows me to blog, if I ever want to get back to that, but right now, I can mostly only manage getting up new photos when I get the chance.

So here’s our new gallery and the most recent photos I’ve added are ones of Jack and Quinn.  I’m still making some changes to the layout, so it’s a work in progress.  Hopefully things will look more presentable in the coming weeks.

Our little bundle of joy arrived on Wednesday, October 8 at 6:19 PM!  After a long labor, Jack Edward Reilley made his appearance weighing in at a whopping 9 lb. 5 oz.

]]> http://www.lifeofreilley.com/2008/10/hes-here/feed/ 1 New Photos http://www.lifeofreilley.com/2008/01/new-photos/ http://www.lifeofreilley.com/2008/01/new-photos/#comments Thu, 17 Jan 2008 21:40:53 +0000 Ed http://www.lifeofreilley.com/2008/01/new-photos/ If you actually check lifeofreilley.com, you might have noticed that the photos were down for the past few days.  We were trying to install a new photo software package, but as is the way of computers, nothing is ever as easy as it seems to be.  Anyway, after a couple of weeks of hacking Plogger to fit into our WordPress theme, it finally works!  Thanks to Ed for all of his hard work in manipulating css code to get it working.  The new software we’re using is Plogger, which has a very nice, clean interface with much more functionality than our old software.

The photos are organized by collections now.  It’s all pretty self-explanatory and anything that didn’t fit into a specific category was thrown into “Life”.

About a month ago, I started getting a bunch of spam in the comments and I got tired of deleting them every day. There are spam filters, but nothing that would run on my outdated version of WordPress.

With a little luck, I should have everything back up and running in a few days. Since I’m upgrading, I’m going to do a complete overhaul and pick a new theme and gallery for displaying our photos. As you can tell, I’ve already moved my movie and book reviews to posts so that I can tag them for easier searching.
